Rather than engaging in debates over the name itself, (which was established in March of 2023) co-founders Adam Peterson and Dr. Joseph Crookshank are pivoting to focus on the positive potential for their company and the outdoor community it serves. Gulf of America Outfitters, known for its exceptional fishing experiences and dedication to promoting the outdoor lifestyle, is launching special edition merchandise that celebrates both the iconic body of water and the company's unique brand.
"While some might see the renaming of the Gulf as a political debate, I see it as an opportunity to strengthen the connection between our brand and the broader American outdoor spirit," said Peterson, who co-founded Gulf of America Outfitters with a passion for fishing, conservation,

The new merchandise line includes custom T-shirts and hats that incorporate the newly coined "Gulf of America" theme, alongside Gulf of America Outfitters’ iconic logo and brand messaging. Peterson hopes the collection will spark interest and conversation, while raising awareness for his fishing charter business, which has been a cornerstone of South Louisiana’s tourism scene.

The merchandise is available for purchase on the Gulf of America Outfitters website and will be available at local events and through select retail partners in the coming months. Proceeds from the sales will go towards further developing the company’s conservation programs and
expanding their fishing education initiatives for young anglers.
