Inshore Fishing Trips

Offshore fishing trips are $2,500 in Venice, LA and in Port Fourchon, LA with Joe Von Thron. Inshore fishing trips in Port Fourchon are $1,000. Prices include the boat, ice, tackle, and fish cleaning for up to 6 guests.

Fuel is not included in the trip price. Fuel costs will be determined at the dock after your trip, and will be billed separately at the end of your trip. You will only pay for the amount of fuel used during your trip. Fuel fees are paid to the marina, and a typical trip utilizes 150-200 gallons of fuel.

Deckhands primarily work for tips and greatly appreciate your generosity. We recommend bringing cash to show your appreciation for their hard work and dedication to making your experience enjoyable and memorable.

When booking your trip online through Gulf of America Outfitters, a 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit is paid securely using a credit card or bank information. The remaining balance will be charged automatically two days before your scheduled trip. By booking online, you agree to these payment terms.

We have a fully furnished lodging options that are available to rent, so you can take your charter fishing experience to the next level. Trips start bright and early, so enjoy the convenience of lodging right near the marina.

Typically you can enjoy our trips for about 10 hours. Please plan to be offshore for most of the day, and bring plenty of snacks and drinks.

To ensure you have an enjoyable offshore fishing experience, please bring ice chests and ziplocks to bring your catch home. Soft bag coolers are permitted on the boat so you can enjoy all of your drinks, snacks and food. We encourage rub-on sunscreen lotion due to boat maintenance and environmental issues. *Spray-on sunscreen is strictly prohibited*

To remain compliant with USCG license regulations, we have a limit of no more than 6 guests per trip per boat.

When the big day comes, our trips regularly depart from the Cypress Cove Marina Fuel Dock between 5:45am - 6:00am. Please note that departure times may vary depending on the target species, time of year, and weather conditions. If for some reason the departure location or time changes, you will be promptly notified and given instructions for proceeding to a new departure destination and time.

Safety is our top priority. If hazardous weather conditions require a trip to be canceled, it will be rescheduled and honored for up to 365 days from the original date. To request a reschedule, please email us at fishbox@goamericaoutfitters.com with your preferred new date(s), and we will update the existing order on file. Your deposit will be fully transferable.

For client-initiated cancellations:

• 31+ days in advance: Your deposit is valid for transfer and will be honored for up to 365 days.
• 30 days or less: You are subject to a charge of 50% of the total trip cost.
• 7 days or less: 100% of the trip cost will be charged.
