Louisiana offshore fishing charters with Gulf of America Outfitters start at $2,500 for a 10–12 hour day trip plus fuel. A 24-hour overnight tuna trip costs $7,500 with fuel included, and a 36-hour overnight bottom fishing trip costs $9,000 with fuel included.
All offshore trips include rods, reels, bait, tackle, fish cleaning, and up to six people.
Fuel is included in overnight offshore trips. For 10–12 hour day trips, guests pay only for the fuel used that day.
Fuel is settled directly at the dock when you return. If the fuel dock is closed, the fuel cost will be billed separately.
Offshore fishing charters allow up to 6 people per trip.
Inshore fishing charters allow up to 3 people per trip.
All trips are private.

Year-round offshore and inshore fishing charters from Venice, Louisiana
Seasonal offshore trips from Port Fourchon (May–September)
Seasonal offshore trips from Lake Charles (May–September)
Trip availability depends on season and location.
Each person must have a valid Louisiana fishing license.
Most guests purchase the 3-Day Saltwater Charter Passenger License for $20, available online through Louisiana Wildlife & Fisheries.
Catch limits depend on species, season, and Louisiana Wildlife & Fisheries regulations.

Safety is the top priority. Captains monitor conditions closely and will notify guests 2–3 days in advance if a trip must be rescheduled.
If a charter is rescheduled due to weather, all payments transfer to the new date. Refunds are not issued.
Deposits are non-refundable.
30+ days before trip: Deposit is fully transferable and valid for up to 365 days
Less than 30 days before trip: 25 percent of total trip cost charged
Less than 7 days before trip: 100 percent of total trip cost charged
Yes. Gulf of America Outfitters offers lodging in Venice, Port Fourchon, and Lake Charles.
Guests staying in our lodging may receive front-door pickup by their captain. Visit our Lodging page or call 504-420-3475 for availability.
If you are staying in GOA lodging, the captain will pick you up at your condo or home.
If you are staying elsewhere, the captain will call the night before with meeting time and location details.
After you submit a booking request, it is reviewed and approved by our team. If there are any questions or special requests, we may contact you directly before confirming your trip. You will receive a notification when your booking is approved.
Once your trip is approved, you will receive instructions to complete your required digital waiver. If you only paid a deposit at booking, you will receive reminders regarding your remaining balance before your trip date.
The captain will contact you the night before your charter to confirm meeting time, departure location, and any final details based on weather and conditions.
Guests should bring:
Valid fishing license
Food and drinks
Sunscreen (non-spray preferred)
Jacket or rain gear
The boat provides fishing gear, ice, coolers, dry storage, and gallon Ziploc bags for your fish.
Please leave personal coolers and spray sunscreen at home.
After your trip, your catch will be cleaned and processed. We encourage guests to share their experience on social media and leave a review if they enjoyed their charter. You can leave us a review on Google here.
