THE GOA STANDARD
A Louisiana fishing charter built around offshore, inshore, and seasonal bottom fishing along the Gulf Coast.
BUILT ON THE GULF
Gulf of America Outfitters is a Louisiana-based fishing charter operation specializing in private, guided fishing trips across some of the most productive waters in the Gulf. With our primary base in Venice, Louisiana, we focus on delivering a premium fishing experience built around preparation, local knowledge, and time on the water.
Our offshore program targets trophy species such as yellowfin tuna, swordfish, marlin, mahi mahi, and wahoo, while our inshore trips explore the marshes and nearshore waters of the Mississippi Delta targeting redfish, speckled trout, and other Louisiana staples. Every trip is private and tailored to the anglers on board, whether you are experienced offshore or stepping onto a charter boat for the first time.
MULTIPLE PORTS. ONE STANDARD.
Gulf of America Outfitters operates fishing charters from multiple Louisiana ports to match seasonal conditions and fishing opportunities. Venice, Louisiana serves as our year-round home base, providing access to deep Gulf waters and the productive marsh systems of the Mississippi Delta.
Seasonally, from May through September, we also operate out of Port Fourchon and Lake Charles, Louisiana. These locations open additional opportunities for offshore and bottom fishing when conditions and regulations align. Operating from multiple ports allows us to focus on where the fishing is best rather than forcing trips from a single location year round.
THE TEAM ON THE WATER
Gulf of America Outfitters works with experienced captains who spend their seasons fishing the Louisiana Gulf Coast. From offshore runs out of Venice to seasonal trips from Port Fourchon and Lake Charles, our crew brings years of hands-on knowledge to every charter.
Each captain runs trips with the same focus on preparation, safety, and efficiency. No matter which boat or captain you fish with, the goal stays the same — deliver a professional fishing experience built around the conditions and the fishery.
THE GOA APPROACH
Fishing the Gulf is not about checking a box or running the same trip every day. It is about understanding the season, the water, and what conditions are offering right now. That approach is what guides every trip at Gulf of America Outfitters. From offshore runs to inshore days in the marsh, our focus stays on preparation, flexibility, and putting anglers on productive water.
WHAT WE DO
Our charter offerings are built around Louisiana’s diverse fisheries and the seasons that define them. Offshore fishing trips focus on deep-water species and extended runs into the Gulf, while inshore trips deliver hands-on fishing in calmer, protected waters along the coast.
During peak months, our seasonal trips out of Port Fourchon and Lake Charles feature some of the best bottom fishing in the region, targeting species such as yellowedge grouper, red snapper, tilefish, cobia, and other structure-oriented fish. Trip types, locations, and target species are always planned around current conditions to ensure expectations are clear before you ever leave the dock.
STAY CLOSE TO THE WATER
To make early departures and multi-day trips easier, Gulf of America Outfitters offers lodging options near the marina at our fishing locations. Guests staying with us at any of our locations can enjoy comfortable accommodations close to the dock, allowing for smooth mornings and relaxed evenings after long days on the water.
Whether you are planning a single fishing day or a multi-day fishing trip, our team is available to help coordinate fishing dates, lodging options, and timing so everything runs smoothly from arrival to departure.
NO SHORTCUTS
At Gulf of America Outfitters, every trip is approached with the same mindset: preparation matters. From boats and gear to timing and communication, our goal is to deliver a fishing experience that feels organized, professional, and worth the investment.
We run private trips, work with experienced captains, and prioritize safety and efficiency on the water. Whether you are chasing trophy fish offshore or enjoying a day in the marsh, our focus stays the same — put you in the best position to experience Louisiana fishing the right way.
